Tourist places in Udaipur: Udaipur is also known as the “city of lakes” because it has so many lakes as Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake, Udai Sagar and Swaroop Sagar in this city is considered some of the most beautiful lakes in the state. It is also nicknamed lake city or “Venice of the east”. Udaipur was founded in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh II. Udaipur city is well connected vai Road, Rail and air. The famous “white” city of Rajasthan state, Udaipur stands on the banks of the lake Pichola. Udaipur is the jewel of Mewar which ruled by the Sisodia dynasty for 1200 years. It has many tourist attractions as City Palace, Lake Palace, Jag Mandir, Monsoon Palace, Jagdish Temple, Fateh Sagar Lake and Lake Pichola etc.
City Palace: City Palace is situated in the bank of the lake Pichola. Maharana Udai Singh established his capital as a Udaipur in 1559. City place is one of the largest places in the world. There are other beautiful places in the city place as Dilkhush mahal, Sheesh mahal, Moti mahal and Krishna vilas.
Lake Palace: Lake Palace was built in 1743-1746. it is made of marbles and satuated in the Jag niwas in Lake pichola. Now days, it is luxury five star hotel.
Jag mandir: Jag mandir is another beautiful place in the lake pichola. Shah Jahan took refuse in the jag Mandir when he revolt against his father.
Jagdish Temple: Jag Temple is big temple in the Udaipur city. It depicts Aryan Architecture. It is major tourist attraction in the udaipur. jagdish Temple was built by Maharana Jagat Singh Ist in 1651 A.D.
Fateh Sagar Lake: Fateh Sagar Lake was built by Maharana Jai Singh in the year 1678 AD but later on it was renovated by Maharana Fateh Singh. It situated near Lake Pichola.
