Rishikesh is a spiritual town that is just 24 km from Haridwar.  It is also known as “The Place of Sages” and it is believed that the name of the place derived from the name of GOD who was called as “Hrishikesh” and he appeared as an answer to the hard penances by Rabhiya Rishi.  Rishikesh is the starting point of starting point for Char Dham pilgrimage and suitable destination for those who are interested in Meditation, Yoga & other aspects of Hinduism.  International Yoga week is held over here in February every here.  This place is well known for river rafting in northern India.  You can visit many places in Rishikesh like Triveni Ghat, Ashram & Yoga Centers, Laxman Jhoola, Shivanand Jhoola and Kaudiala.  Some of main Ashrams are Shivanand Asharam, Muni ki Reti, Mahesh Yogi Ashram, Shankaracharya Nagar, Swarg Ashram, Gita Bhawan, Ved Niketan and Yoga Study Center.  It is also know for its temples.  Some premier temples in Rishikesh are Raghunath Temple, Pushkar Temple, Venkateshwar Temple, Chandra Mauleshwaran Temple, Shatrughan Temple, Bharat Temple and Lakshman Temple.

By Air/Railways:Jolly Grant airport (approx 45 km away)/Rishikesh railway station (115 km).

By Road:Well connected with all the major cities.

Lansdowne is surrounded by thick oak and blue pine forests.  This place is very charming for a break from the hustle-bustle of crowded cities.  Lansdowne was very popular hill station with British.  This area was established as cantonment because of its natural beauty and fresh climate.  The famous Garhwal Rifles of the Indian army has its command office here.  You can visit some of good places like Bhairav Garhi & hanuman Garh, Tip-n-Top (famous for sightseeing), Tarkeshwar Mahadev (36 km) and Jwalpa Devi (52 km) in and around Lansdowne.

By Air/Railways: Jolly Grant airport (152 km away)/Rishikesh railway station (37 km).

By Road: Well connected with all the major towns of the region.
