Delhi Tourist places:

Delhi is a major tourist destination for Indians as well as foreigners. It is the capital of India, centre of political activity not only today but form the hundreds of years, starting Prthiiraj Chauhan, Turks, Mugals, British and capital of the modern India. It has rich cultural heritage, historical monument, museums, panoramic gardens, Long history of temples and Mosques and newly builds temples. Tourists are coming Delhi throughout the year. Important tourist destinations are India Gate and Rajpath, Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, Lotus Temple, Jantar Mantar, Akshardham Temple, Gurdwara Bangla Sahib and Laxminarayan Temple.

Laxminarayan Temple:

Laxminarayan Temple is also called Birla Mandir(Temple). Laxaminaran temple was built in the honor of Hindu Godess Laxmi and God Vishnu. It is major tourist attraction in Delhi. Temple decorated in its unique style on the festival of Diwali and Krishna Janamastami. Temple is constructed in the Orisa stayle. Frist built in 1622 by Vir Sing Deo and later on renovated by other people. In 1939, the temple was built by Birla family, because of that it is also called Birla mandir.

India Gate:                                                                     

India Gate is 42 meter tall National Monument Satuated on the Heart of New delhi, it was built to commemorate the 90,000 British India solders, who lost their lives in the world war-I and 3rd anglo Afgan war .It was designed by Sir Edwin Luteyen. It is customary for the Indian president and Prime minister and visiting Guest of the state to pay Homage to the Indian solders at India Gate on the occasion of the state ceremonies.

Red Fort:

Red Fort was constructed by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in Old Delhi. It served as the capital of the Mughals til 1857.later, Bahadur Shah Zafar the last Mugal Emperor was exiled by the British Indian government and Redfort was used as a military camp until India became independent in 1947.It is now a popular tourist site and was declared UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007.It is symbol of India’s sovereignty. The Prime Minister of India hoist the flag of India on 15 Aug ever year. There are many places in the redfort tourist love to visit, important ones are Diwan-i-Aam,Diwan-i-Khas,Zenana,Moti Masjid etc.

 Raj Ghat:

Raj Ghat is the cremation ground and memorial of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. It is located on the banks of the river Yamuna in Delhi in India on Ring Road officially known as Mahatma Gandhi Road. It is one of the most visited site in Delhi to remember the father of the nation, vistied by most of the Guest.It is a black marble platform, open to the sky and eternal flame burns perpetually at one end.

Lotus Temple:

Lotus Temple is one of the remarkable architectures of Bahai faith, located at Kalkaji in New Delhi.It looks like a lotus flower, open to people from all religions. The place provides immaculate environment for meditation, peace and wisdom.it is among the most visited monuments in India. credit for this beautiful structure goes to the Persian architect Fariborz Sahba from Canada.

 Qutub Minar:                                                         

The Qutub Minar is a tower situated in Delhi, India. Qutub-Minar in red sandstone is the highest tower in India. It has a diameter of 14.32m at the base and 2.75m on the top with a height of 72.5m. Its Construction started by Qutb-ud-din Aibak and later completed by Iulltutmish.The Qutub Minar is most prominent examples of Indo-Islamic architecture. It is also surrounded by other ancient and medieval structures and ruins in the Qutub complex.
