Agra is situated on the bank of the river Yamuna, 200 Km away from the national Capital Delhi. It has three world heritage sites. Agra is well connected with national capital Delhi by Road and Rail, widely spoken language is Hindi but you can find English speaking people easily. If we talk about India’s tourism, it is incomplete without Agra. Famous Agra tourist places are Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. TAJ Mahal is one of the seven Wonders of the world.
Taj Mahal: Taj Mahal is one of the architectural wonders of the world built by Mugal emperor Sahajan, for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It situated on the bank of river Yamuna, it is India’s most fascinating and beautiful monument made up of white Marble, took 22 years (1630–1652) in completing this monument, it is the hard work of 20,000 labours and workers. It can be seen from the red fort, view from the Red fort is really spectacular, Mugal emperor used to watch Taj when his son imprisoned him in red fort. Night view is really fascinating in the Moon light.Tourists are coming from all across the globe to see Taj Mahal.
Agra fort: It is UNESCO world heritage site, built by Mugal emperor Akbar in 1565, it comprises so many beautiful places such as Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; audience halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas; and two very beautiful mosques. There was good contribution in its making by the Mugal emperor Akbar, Jahagir and Sahjahan. It has two gates: Delhi gate and Amar Singh gate. Now a Days, tourist are allowed to enter the Agra fort through Amar singh gate. It is 35 Km away from the Agra city built by Mugul emperor Akbar. Akbar moved his capital to Fatehpur Sekari, as he wants to keep his capital safe from family conspiracies. it is one of the UNESCO world Heritage site. Name of this place came, when Akar defeated the Rana sanga in the battle at Sikri situated 40 km away from the Agra. Tourists come to see this Place from the all across the world.
