Pauri and Srinagar

Pauri is a nice hill station and it is situated 1814 meters above the sea level.  Pauri is also a religious place where you can find many temples and this place provides the scenic and beautiful view of the snow clad Himalayan peak of Bandar poonch, Swarga, Gangotri Group, Chaukhamba, Ghauriparvat, Kedarnath, Kharcha Kund, Sumeru, Neelkanth, Jogin Group and Satopanth.  Many places can be visited here like Kandolia that is 2 km apart from here and it is a spectacular spot surrounded by dense forest.  The temple of Kandolia Devta is here and it is a good picnic spot too.  The other places where you can visit are Ransi, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Kyukaleshware Mahadev Temple, Khirsu, Doodhatoli, Jwalpa-Dev Temple and Adwani which is a picnic spot 17 km apart from Pauri.

By Air/Railways: Jolly Grant airport (155 km away)/Kotdwar railway station (108 km).

By Road: Pauri is connected with Dehradun, Rishikesh, Kotdwar and other cities also.

Srinagar is situated on the bank of Alaknanda River and it is 30 km away from Pauri.  This place is located of the junction of roads from Kotdwar, Rishikesh, Tehri Garhwal, and Badrinath.  Once, the Srinagar was capital of the Garhwal Kings before the arrival of British.  The places where you can visit are kamleshwar Temple, Keshorai Math, Shankar Math, Devalgarh and Dhari Devi Temple.Shhankar Math was constructed by Adi Guru Shankaracharya and it is just 3 km away from Srinagar.  This temple has a unique architectural beauty.

By Air/Railways: Jolly Grant airport (163 km away)/Rishikesh railway station (146 km).

By Road: Well connected by motor able roads to all the major towns of the region.
