Har ki Dun, Harsil and Ukhimath

Har ki Dun is surrounded by dense forests & glittering peaks and it is situated at 3566 meters above sea level.  This place is one of the best places for nature lovers who really want to see mother natures’ true beauty.  The forests are rich in wildlife and varieties of birds can be seen here.  The trek from Taluka to Osla is through dense forests of chestnuts, walnuts, willows & chinars.  The trek from Sema to Har ki Dun is through terraced mountain fields, grassy & green land and conifer forest.  Jaundhar Glacier is just 8 km from the north of Har ki Dun valley.  Barsu valley is home of baral mountain.  Morinda Tal lies in Har ki Dun and this valley is enchanting with natural flowers in July to September.

Ukhimath is stuated at 1319 meters above the sea level.  This place is located on Guptkashi Gopeshwar motor road. This place is famous for its temples.  The temples of Usha & Anniruddha, Shiva & Parvati are worth visiting.  This is a winter seat of Lord Krishna and worship is done during the winter when the temple of Kedarnath remains closed.  The places around Unkimath are Guptkashi, Deoria Tal & Kalimat where a person can visit and enjoy the beautiful view of Kedarnath peak, Chaukhamba and other green glittering & green valleys with lots flowers.
